Wild Mountain Retreat

Getaway and unwind at our spacious, cozy river retreat. Located less than 1 hour from the Twin Cities, enjoy the private yard leading down to the St. Croix River, gorgeous views from the large family room, modern kitchen, panoramic barrel sauna, and so much more. Relax on the screened in porch with the sleek, wood stove. Located less than 10 minutes from Wild Mountain Ski Resort and Waterpark, Interstate State Park, and Downtown Taylor's Falls, you'll have plenty to do for days!

Our property is equipped with very fast internet offering guests an easy way to work remotely if desired.

We allow dogs (not other pets) on the property; however we require that guests pay a $100 non-refundable pet fee before we finalize the booking. We expect that you will clean up after your dog and let us know of any incidences. Absolutely no dogs are allowed on the rugs, furniture or beds.

Our cabin has a large yard leading to the river with a campfire area and adirondack chairs. The river shore goes up and down throughout the year (controlled by the St. Croix Falls Dam). We usually do not swim on the shore, but across the river (by kayak!), there is a beautiful sand bar to play on depending on the time of year. Brand new steps make it easy to access the river right from the property.

Please bring your own firewood and kindling/fire starters for the campfire (unless you want to gather sticks in the woods which is completely fine with us!) Most gas stations are stocked with bundles of firewood to purchase on your way.

Our hope is that you fully enjoy all that our home has to offer! We believe our place has all that you need to enjoy a retreat away without leaving. We provide plenty of parking space as well as enough of an area to turn trailers around. Check out things to do in the area on our blog.

Due to the weather in MN, please be prepared for winter travel when coming to and from our cabin. We make sure the driveway to the cabin is plowed for you but cannot guarantee how the roads leading there will be.
